FreshLot is an inventory and production interface built around Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. It is specially designed for food manufacturing and production businesses with materials that require lot number tracking.
It helps workers perform day-to-day warehouse, manufacturing, and inventory tasks through a simpler screen that is easier to use on handheld devices, scanners, tablets, or workstations.
Commonly used by businesses and companies that need to manage items, lots, production activity, receiving, shipment, stock movement, and stock counting.
The solution can also be adjusted for other businesses that use Microsoft Business Central and want an easier, intuitive, and efficient way for their workers to interact with it.
¶ What FreshLot does
FreshLot makes Business Central easier to use for operational teams.

Instead of requiring workers to navigate multiple Business Central pages, FreshLot provides focused modules for common inventory activities. Each module is designed around the actual task the worker needs to complete, such as receiving goods, moving stock, recording production, or counting inventory.
Business Central remains the main system of record. FreshLot acts as a worker-friendly layer that helps users complete the correct actions faster and with fewer manual errors.
¶ FreshLot Modules
FreshLot does not replace Business Central. It supports Business Central by giving workers a simpler interface for selected processes. We've organized it into six intuitive modules below:
¶ Information Gathering
Used to look up item, lot, stock, location, and bin information.
- This module helps users confirm inventory details before performing another action. It is useful when checking available stock, validating a lot number, or reviewing where an item is stored.
¶ Receiving
Used to process incoming goods.
- Empowers staff members to track the data associated to the received product all the way to the sales floor. The role utilizes LS Central inventory management module and there for uses Retail Receiving document, which should be posted using the BC client user. Upon receiving process the role allows user to print labels.
¶ Shipment
Used to prepare and confirm outgoing goods.
- This module helps users process items for shipment, scan items and lots, confirm quantities, and make sure the correct goods are being sent out.
¶ Stock Counting
Used to perform physical inventory counts.
- This module helps users count actual stock by item, lot, location, or bin, then submit counted quantities for review or adjustment. This roles becomes a connector between the front and the back of the store where products are being prepared. For instance, meat department in a grocery store re-orders products many times a day. Prioritize, reorder, mark as actioned and keep on top of demand across your stores.
¶ Transfer
Used to move inventory from one place to another.
- This module helps users transfer stock between locations, bins, warehouse areas, or production areas while keeping the system inventory aligned with the physical movement.
¶ Production
Used to support production-related inventory activity.
- This module helps users work with production orders, consume raw materials, record output, assign finished goods lot numbers, and maintain traceability between materials and produced items. When it comes to food processing, it becomes vital to register expiration dates. It gives users a view of where and how each received product is processed and used.
